Why are people around the world drawn to Japan and its culture?
This question guided me when I studied abroad in the United States and Australia.
Through those experiences, I came to realize how deeply proud I am to be Japanese —
and how precious Japanese culture truly is.
Japan is shaped by a unique culture of food, craftsmanship, and manners.
Calligraphy is one expression of this culture.
It is not only about the beauty of characters,
but also about the spirit, discipline, and respect that define the Japanese way of life.
Through my work, I hope to share this spirit —
quietly, sincerely, and authentically.
Biography
I began studying Japanese calligraphy at the age of eight,
and in 2008, I obtained my 7th dan calligraphy certification.
In 2013, I studied in the United States for two years.
During this time, I taught Japanese calligraphy to people from different cultural backgrounds,
which deepened my understanding of how precious and meaningful Japanese culture is when shared beyond Japan.
Since then, I have continued to work at the intersection of culture, communication, and people.
Alongside my professional work as a career advisor, I have taught calligraphy to international audiences,
using it as a bridge between cultures.
In 2022, I moved to Melbourne, Australia, where I shared Japanese culture through
street performances and calligraphy workshops, engaging directly with local communities.
In 2024, I returned to Tokyo.
Today, I focus on sharing the beauty, spirit, and craftsmanship of Japanese culture with people around the world
through calligraphy and creative collaboration.
